External Signals Functions of MC212 Programmable Controller PROSEC T2-Series

The external signals of the MC212 have the below functions:
Pulse output
1. Output of CW/PLS means differential output and open collector
The direction of outputs CW pulses or feed pulses (PLS). The output mode pulse, PLS or CW, can be chosen by the parameter. The max. output frequency is 200kpps.
2. Output of CCW/DIR means differential output and open collector output
The direction of outputs CCW pulses or direction (DIR). The output mode pulse, DIR or CCW, can be chosen by the parameter.

Pulse input Feedback
3. Phase-A pulse input or CW pulse (5 Vdc)
The inputs of phase-A pulses or CW direction pulses are for monitoring. The mode of pulse input, phase-A or CW, can be chosen by the parameter. The maximum frequency of input for pulses of CW is 200kpps. The maximum frequency of input for the phase-A is 100kpps.
4. Phase-B pulse input or CCW pulse (5 Vdc)
The inputs of phase-B pulses or CCW direction pulses are for monitoring. The mode of pulse input, phase-B or CCW, can be chosen by the parameter. The maximum of input for the pulses of CCW is 200kpps. The maximum frequency of input for the phase-B is 100kpps.

Input of Phase-Z
5. The input of Phase-Z (5 Vdc) is for Zero return operation. Open collector output 5 Vdc or differential output can be linked. Once 12 or 24Vdc device of open collector output is linked, join externally a resistor to fine-tune the voltage.

Interface output of servo driver
6. The signal output of Servo ON (S-ON)
It can be managed by program T2 by placing the equivalent bit in the parameter operation. The LED "R" is lit when this output is ON. This signal is applied to output the signal of Servo ON to the linked servo driver.

7. The output of Reset (RST)
It can be managed by program T2 by placing the equivalent bit in the parameter operation. This signal is applied to output the signal placing Reset to the linked servo driver.

8. The pulse output placing Error counter clear (CLR)
It is utilized to output the signal placing of Error counter clear to the linked servo driver. This signal is allowed when the use of phase-Z is selected, and switches ON for around 50 ms.

9. The output of CCW feed enable (REV)
It can be managed by program T2 by placing the equivalent bit in the parameter operation. This signal is applied to output the signal of CCW enable to the associated servo driver.
